Restarting or resetting WordPress is a process where you restore WordPress to the default settings. It is a similar process of restoring your phone to the default “factory settings”. So it’s always better to keep a backup of your site in case you want to recover it. We’re going to explain to you through the entire reset process, step by step and in complete detail.

Now we’re ready to move forward with how to delete all WordPress content and start over using a Plugin named WP Reset.

  1. First Open Your WordPress Website and click on the Dashboard option which is on the left side of the page.
  2. After entering the Dashboard menu, go to the Plugins section and select Add New
  3.  In the Search Engine, write advance database reset and install Plugin WP Reset and Activate it.
  4. Once the plugin is activated, you need to go to the Tools » WP Reset in your WordPress dashboard and scroll down to the Site Reset section of the page.

6. Go to Snapshots and select Create Snapshot, which is at the bottom of the menu.

After creating Snapshot, Go to the Reset Option.

Scroll down the Reset page and To reset your site, you need to type the word ‘reset’ in the confirmation field before clicking the red ‘Reset Site’ button.

A message will pop up asking you to confirm that you want to reset the site. Click ‘Reset WordPress’ to continue.

How To Backup Your WordPress Using A Plugin

Step 1– Go to the Plugins option which is on the left side of your WordPress Dashboard and select ‘Add New‘.

Step 2- Search wpvivid backup in the Search Engine and Install the Plugin and activate WP Vivid Plugin. WP vivid is a completely free backup plugin that allows you to backup your websites locally as well as to some-off site storage such as Dropbox or your Google drive. it adds a new menu option on the left side of your WordPress Dashboard underneath Settings.

Step 3– Hover to the left side of your WordPress Dashboard and click on WP Vivid Backup and choose what you want to Backup. You can also save your backup locally or places like Google drive which makes it one of the best plugins to backup your WordPress website. Remember to check the box below Backup Now i.e. This backup can only be deleted manually.
